About me
Bill retired after 42 years working in the public schools of Illinois, Iowa and Washington State. Past positions include paraprofessional, special education teacher, principal, AEA special education consultant and district special education administrator. In Washington, Bill has been an administrator in the Seattle, Sumner, White River and Franklin Pierce school districts. His responsibilities included PK-12 special education, Title 1, LAP, ML, Health Services, Head Start and ECEAP. He has extensive experience in district-wide implementation of integrated MTSS, including the areas of universal screening, multi-level prevention systems, progress monitoring, and data-based decision making. Currently, Bill provides overall program coordination for both of the Goodlad Institute’s leadership programs: the ECSEL Program and the recently completed OSEP AIMS Project. His last position was serving for 18 years as the Executive Director of Learning Support Services for the Franklin Pierce Schools in Tacoma, WA.
