Emily is originally from Michigan where she earned her Educational Specialist degree in school psychology. She has worked in Michigan, Oregon, Arizona, and Washington in public school, university, and residential settings, serving students with special needs from preK through university level. Emily is passionate about helping districts build systems that are welcoming, inclusive, and support all students in their journey toward success and well-being. She and her partner, James, enjoy the PNW for its beautiful outdoor spaces. In their spare time, you can find them playing disc golf, running on local trails, playing board games, or entertaining their noisy cat, Freya.
